Account and data deletion
An account in Sill One is optional. Without one, your game lives on your device and we cannot see it. With one, a copy of your game is kept on our database so it can follow you between devices, and you can delete the account, and that copy, at any time.
Delete your Sill One account
It is the same account in the Android app and on the web version. It holds your email address (and, with Google sign-in, your Google name) and the copy of your game that lets it follow you between devices.
In the game: open Settings → Account → Delete this account and choose Delete. You can download everything the server holds for the account first, with Download my data.
By email: write to support@daveonduty.co.uk with the subject “Sill One account deletion”, from the address the account uses. We may ask you to confirm the account is yours before we delete it. Never send your password.
This button opens your email app. Send the message to make your request; opening it alone deletes nothing.
What is deleted
The account, your email address and name, your password hash if you had one, and the saved game on our server: your plants, seeds, Leaf Points and their record, what you own, your cultivars and notebook, the plants set aside when two devices disagreed, and the records of your devices. Once it has been carried out, it cannot be undone.
When
A deletion asked for in the game is carried out 7 days after you ask. Until then you can change your mind with Keep my account. Requests by email are carried out within 30 days.
What remains
Limited logs our provider keeps of requests to its servers, which include IP addresses, and backup copies may remain until their retention periods expire. The game on your own device is not touched: to remove it, see below. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in Google Play.
Delete the game on your phone
Uninstall Sill One, or clear its storage in your phone’s settings (usually Settings → Apps → Sill One → Storage → Clear storage). This deletes everything the game keeps: your sill, your seeds, your Leaf Points, the notebook and the album. It cannot be undone, so make a backup first if you might want them back (Settings → Data → Back up this sill).
Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in Google Play: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Advertising data
If you have watched an ad, the data Google’s ads software collected is held by Google, not by us, so we cannot retrieve or delete it for you. You can delete or reset your advertising ID in your phone’s settings (on most Android phones Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads), and use Google’s own tools at myadcenter.google.com. If you have never tapped the ad offer, nothing was sent to Google for ads.
