By installing or playing Sill One you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1 · The game

Sill One is a game. Its plants, seeds, pots, lamps, saucers, rooms and Leaf Points are virtual. They have no value outside the game, cannot be exchanged for money or anything else, and cannot be transferred or sold to another person. Selling a seed in the game pays Leaf Points, never money.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Sill One for your own enjoyment. The game, its code, its design and its text are ours, © 2026 DoD. The photographs of plants and rooms are used under the licences listed in Settings → About → Credits and licences.

2 · Leaf Points

Leaf Points are the game’s currency. You earn them by growing plants well, and you can also buy them in packs through Google Play. They are spent inside the game on nursery seed, pots, the grow lamp, saucer rentals, rooms, and registering a cultivar. Once spent they are gone. Bought Leaf Points are added to your balance straight away and are not refundable after that, except as described in §5.

Leaf Points for watching an advert (Android app). In the Shop and on the Leaf Points page you can choose to watch a short advert for 3 Leaf Points, up to three times a day (the day resets at midnight on your device). The advert only plays if you ask for it. The points are added when Google reports the advert as watched; if an advert is closed early, fails to load or fails to play, no points are added and it does not count towards the three. We cannot promise an advert will always be available. Subscribers to Sill One Plus or Plus Away are not offered adverts. Points earned this way are ordinary Leaf Points, with no cash value. Please do not try to collect them without watching, for example by automating the app or tampering with it; it can get the game’s advertising stopped for everyone. We may change the reward or the daily limit, or stop offering adverts, at any time. The adverts are provided by Google; what it collects is in the privacy policy.

3 · What “kept for good” means

Some things you get are yours to keep, and some are lent.

“Kept for good” means kept in your game’s save on your device, in the copy your account keeps if you have one, and in any backup file you make. If you lose your device and have neither an account nor a backup, your game is lost with it; with an account, sign in on the new phone and your sill comes back. Google Play can restore subscriptions and the pots bought with money through Shop → Restore purchases. It cannot restore Leaf Points, however they were earned or bought, or anything bought with them: those come back with your account or a backup. Make a backup (Settings → Data), whether or not you have an account.

4 · Subscriptions

Sill One Plus and Sill One Plus Away are optional subscriptions, sold monthly or yearly through Google Play. Neither makes a plant grow faster, and every species and the whole life cycle are free without them. What each one gives is listed in the app before you subscribe; one of those things is nursery seed that arrives at 82% rather than 75%. While you subscribe, the game offers you no adverts. The price is the one Google Play shows at checkout.

A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. Cancel in Google Play (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep what you paid for until the end of the period. What happens when it ends is in §3. You can change between Plus and Plus Away, or between monthly and yearly, in the app; Google Play adjusts the charge for the time left.

Free trial (Android). A Google account that has never had a Sill One subscription can start one with a 7-day free trial, once. It becomes a paid subscription on day 8, at the price shown when you started, unless you cancel before then in Google Play. During the free week the subscription works as it will once paid, except that the grow lamp is lent rather than given: it comes to keep with the first payment. The web version has its own 7-day trial, which takes no payment details and turns into nothing.

5 · Refunds

Purchases are made with Google Play and refunded under Google Play’s refund policy. You can also write to support@daveonduty.co.uk and we will look at every request. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

6 · Changes to the game

We may change, rebalance, add to or remove parts of the game. If we ever withdraw something you paid for with money, we will offer a fair replacement or refund. If Sill One is discontinued, we will say so in the app where we can, and the Android app will go on working offline on your device.

7 · Accounts

An account is optional, in the Android app and on the web version. You can sign in with Google, or with an email address and a password. An account keeps a copy of your game so it can follow you between devices; purchases stay with Google Play. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in safe. You can delete your account at any time (Settings → Account, or by email; see account and data deletion). How we handle account data is in the privacy policy.

8 · Liability

We make Sill One with care, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will be free of faults. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for losing a game that was not backed up. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9 · Your rights as a consumer

If you live in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protections of your local consumer law, and nothing in these terms takes them away.

10 · Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and tell you in the app if a change affects what you have paid for.
